Our Scientific Partnerships

TIMAC AGRO's Scientific Partnerships: Innovating in Agriculture

At TIMAC AGRO, innovation and research are at the heart of our mission to develop cutting-edge agronomic solutions. To achieve this ambition, we rely on our research center, the Centre Mondial d’Innovation Roullier (CMI), the driving force behind our scientific advances, and on a wide network of academic and technical partners around the world. Thanks to these collaborations, we are developing new-generation plant and animal nutrition solutions, integrating raw materials of marine and plant origin, with a view to efficiency and sustainability.

Worldwide collaborative research

Today, TIMAC AGRO conducts over 200 research projects in partnership with universities, public institutes and specialized research centers. These synergies combine scientific expertise, knowledge of the field and industrial innovation capacity.

The MATIAIRE Industrial Chair: A Synergy between Research and Industry

The MATIAIRE Industrial Chair, created in partnership with IS2M and CNRS, combines TIMAC AGRO’s market expertise and the innovation of its CMI to develop sustainable agricultural solutions. The partnership focuses on optimizing fertilizers and biostimulants, using renewable raw materials and reducing environmental impact. A fruitful collaboration between academic research and industrial needs.

Scientific cooperation framework agreement with INRAE: an alliance for agroecology

In February 2024, the CMI signed a framework agreement with INRAE to strengthen their collaboration in agroecology, sustainable resource management and mineral nutrition. This partnership, which has lasted for over 10 years, supports innovative projects such as METH’ALGUES and EAUPTIC, aimed at reducing methane emissions and limiting losses due to water stress. Together, TIMAC AGRO and INRAE are working towards sustainable solutions for tomorrow’s agriculture.

Industrial Chair with the University of Navarra: Towards intelligent fertilizers

Since 2015, TIMAC AGRO, the CMI and the University of Navarre have been working together to develop more efficient and sustainable fertilizers and biostimulants. This synergy, strengthened by a new agreement in 2024, focuses on optimizing “smart fertilizers”, combining fundamental and applied research. Together, they create innovative, effective and environmentally-friendly fertilization solutions.

Farm XP: A testing ground for Innovation in Animal Production

This network of experimental farms enables TIMAC AGRO’s animal production solutions to be tested and optimized in real-life conditions, focusing on efficiency, animal welfare and reduced environmental impact.

These scientific partnerships are essential to transform discoveries into concrete solutions for farmers. Thanks to this dynamic of collaborative innovation, TIMAC AGRO develops high value-added products that reconcile agronomic, economic and environmental performance.

By combining fundamental research, field knowledge, industrial know-how and field experimentation, we are committed every day to building a more sustainable, competitive and responsible agriculture to meet the needs of farmers and consumers worldwide.
